For over 20 years, Boris Foxman has devoted himself to building a diversified professional services firm specializing in accounting, tax and financial services. He and his team have specialized in assisting foreign companies do business in the United States, as well as foreign nationals transition to becoming U.S. taxpayers by focusing on comprehensive cross-border tax and financial planning.

Boris Foxman has been contributing to the community by taking an active role in fostering integration of foreign nationals into the American society while preserving their language and culture. He served on the Gaithersburg Multicultural Committee, volunteered as a grant reviewer for the United Way, facilitated the Russian Art Project in Washington DC and sponsored the Alley of Russian Poets and Composers. He serves on the advisory board for the State of Maryland Leningradsky Region Sister State Program, serves on the board for the Montgomery County Sister City Inc, and chairs the board of the American Association for Russian Language, Culture & Education.

He completed a Certified Financial Planner program at the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO. Boris graduated from the Tomsk Polytechnical Institute with Bachelor of Science in Robotics and completed an individualized program in accounting and economics at the Tomsk State University.

Natalie Berman, CPA, Director of Accounting & Tax

Since 1982, Natalie has worked in public practice with a variety of business and individual clients with domestic and international background. Her primary focus is cross-border tax planning for small and mid-sized international enterprises, taxation of foreign nationals working in the U.S., and tax status determination of foreign employees. Furthermore, she has extensive experience in working with U.S. tax treaties. Natalie has participated in IRS audits representing individual and corporate clients to assist in reducing substantial tax delinquencies with a variety of state tax agencies. Natalie oversees a group of employees who provide accounting and payroll services for hundreds of companies, and prepares thousands of business and individual tax returns annually. She graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Major in Accounting and holds Certified Public Accountant certifications with the states of Maryland and Virginia. She is a member of National Society of Accountants and a Tau Chapter alumnus of Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society of UMUC. 


 

John Schuster, CPA, Tax Manager & Consultant

Graduated from George Mason University in Washington D.C. and is a licensed CPA in the State of Virginia. John is a Senior level consultant and has over 25 years of experience in all areas of accounting, audit, and taxation for government agencies, non-profits, and various industries within the private sector, including medical care groups, professional practices, and real estate developers. A solid understanding of not only multi-state issues but also multi-national concerns has provided companies of all sizes with the cross-border expertise that is in high demand, ensuring that tax compliance, tax optimization, and transfer pricing concerns are addressed in the most optimal way. He has assisted clients with financing, budgets, projections, business planning, modeling, and has successfully represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, as well as state and local tax agencies through the appeal level.

Jane Savchenko, MBA, VP, Client Relations

Since 2007, Jane Savchenko has climbed up the ranks to spearhead operational logistics, employee benefit consulting, as well as the design and implementation of human resource strategies, policies, and processes. Jane earned a B.A. in International Studies with minors in Economics, Spanish, and Business Administration from Towson University, and received her MBA in 2008 in Human Resources from the University of Baltimore, graduating in the top 5% of her class. During her tenure with NBAC, Jane has devised effective methods for internal controls, local community support and involvement, and international marketing strategies. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Sigma Iota Epsilon honor societies, as well as of National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Golden Key International Honor Society. Her knowledge of the Russian and Spanish languages, as well as her remarkable and dependable writing abilities, make her instrumental in key communications with domestic and international clients, tax authorities, and developing marketing literature. In her personal time, Jane enjoys writing poetry and volunteers for the International Rescue Committee with refugee families and for Innocents at Risk.

Jordan Egert, Senior Accountant

After graduating top of his class with a degree in Business Administration and accounting focus from Florida Atlantic University master’s program. During this period, Jordan began his career in forensic accounting and litigation support services. He developed a niche in high net-worth divorce litigation, business development, personal taxation, and financial analysis. After leaving the South Florida area in 2010, Jordan relocated to Washington D.C. and worked for the Department of Labor as an upper financial analyst; analyzing data and spending for over $10 billion in government funds/programs. To further his career, Jordan joined forces with NBAC as a Senior Tax Accountant. He currently provides tax planning, compliance, research, and management services while implementing his analytical background.

When not at work, Jordan can be found hiking, training for duathalons, or playing tennis.

Katya Mikhailova, Financial Planning Specialist

Katya Mikhailova attained her Master’s in Economics from the American University in D.C., where she gained hands on experience as a research assistant at Kogod School of Business. Katya also worked as a consultant at the World Bank on critical projects, allowing her to develop solid project management skills that are directly applicable to her financial career in public accounting firms. Katya joined NBAC in 2008 as a financial expert, working with individuals and companies in a variety of areas. Specifically, her expertise include employee benefits for companies hiring foreign persons, individual and business retirement plans,
and life/disability/long-term care insurance.

Olga Ivanova, Accountant

Olga Ivanova obtained a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and a Master Degree in Economics from Novosibirsk State University of Russia. Olga worked as an External Auditor with KPMG LLC and as a Business Analyst in the Information Technology Industry before joining NBAC in 2011. She has extensive experience with US GAAP, IFRS, and Russian GAAP accounting standards, allowing her to analyze her international corporate clients with a three dimensional view and offer relevant recommendations. Since 2007, Olga has worked with public accounting firms with hands on experience in industries that include telecommunications, metallurgy, and energy has contributed to a strong background in preparation of final analytical reviews with in-depth analysis of companies’ financial performance, identifying business, control, and audit risks, as well as evaluating the design, implementation, and testing the operating effectiveness of procedures and internal controls. Olga is a true snow-boarding enthusiast in the winter and loves to travel internationally whenever not standing on a snowboard.

Throughout her career, Tatiana had the opportunity to work with private accounting, management consulting firms and various educational organizations that helped her with proactive learning experience in the field of micro and macroeconomics, business development and valuation. Since 2007, Tatiana has obtained valuable professional experience in business planning for multiple venture business projects in various fields (medical services, government services, alternative energy, and natural resources), financial analysis and planning, as well as accounting and national taxation. Tatiana joined NBAC Corporation in 2011, where she assists clients in establishment of cross-border transactions: organizational corporate restructuring; business model composition; design, implementation and justification of transfer pricing policies; and international taxation.

Tatiana holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Auditing from Voronezh State Agricultural University and Bachelor Degree in Civil Law from Voronezh State University. In 2011 year Tatiana received her MBA from Alcorn State University with a concentration in Finance.
